Fundamentals AKA "Nuts and Bolts"

An extensive alignment and cueing protocol from head to toe to cohesively instruct a client. This workshop is the basis of all PSC’s training in the Teacher Training Programs. It includes the Pilates philosophies collected from many teachings and also covers terminology and basic anatomy.  This class introduces the most basic joint line movements for the Progressive Teaching Model. This Class is the “Nuts and Bolts” of all skilled teaching. Pilates Mat Training Module

A Professional Program that incorporates both the Classical and Progressive styles of Joseph Pilates’ Mat Method; the foundation of Pilates movement techniques of his famous body weight exercises. Program includes modifications, variations and props that add versatility and dimension to the floor work repertoire.

The Reformer Training Module

A comprehensive Pilates Program that combines the Classical and Progressive Pilates styles of Pilates Exercises on the Universal Reformer. This piece of equipment is where it started. Students start to develop critical thinking skills by incorporating the Progressive Teaching Model of this complex and diverse piece of equipment including many modifications, variations and props for skill development. This workshop will teach verbal, visual and tactile cueing skills for all levels.  Introductions to indications and contraindications for specific injuries and dysfunctions will be presented with scope of practice solutions. Includes equipment safety and handling for best results with each client.

Cadillac or Trapeze Table Training Module

The Cadillac or “Trapeze Table” was Joseph’s premier piece of equipment (like the car). This class teaches the Full Classical and Progressive Repertoire with modifications, variations and props, plus verbal, visual and tactile cueing skills taught at all levels for this clinical piece of equipment.  Continued critical teaching skills, training and program development for any level of proficiency,  and indications and contraindications for specific injuries and dysfunctions.

The Barrels Module

Pilates Barrels (Ladder Barrel, Small Barrel/Baby Arc, Spine Corrector)

Joseph and Clara’s Barrels and Arcs are taught both Classically and Progressively to bring the Comprehensive Program full circle with modifications, variations and props. We will end by reviewing the Mat method using these Arcs for any practice, verbal and tactile cueing skills, and indications and contraindications for specific injuries and dysfunctions to work on the barrels.

Advanced Anatomy and Exercise Essentials

A University Level Applied Muscle Anatomy and Kinesiology Course on Four, Four Hour Video Modules:  

     Module One – The Spine, The Cage and Breath 

     Module Two – The Shoulder Girdle, Shoulder Joint, Elbow, Wrist and Hand

     Module Three – The Pelvis, Hip, Knee and Foot
